논문내용 The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of learners' metacognition and smartphone addiction on discussion flow and satisfaction in non-real-time discussion learning using smartphone. Data for the study were collected from 42 discussion learners. The study result data were tested by two-way MANOVA. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, metacognition was found to have an effect on discussion flow. The group with high metacognition was more effective in discussion flow than the group with low level. Secondly, it was found that the degree of smartphone addiction has an effect on the degree of discussion flow. The general user group was more effective in discussion flow than the smartphone addiction group. Thirdly, metacognition was found to have an effect on discussion satisfaction. The group with high metacognition had more effect on discussion satisfaction than the group with low level. Fourthly, the level of smartphone addiction was found to have an effect on discussion satisfaction. The general user group had more effect on discussion satisfaction than the smartphone addiction group. Lastly, there was no effect of the interaction between metacognition and smartphone addiction on discussion flow and satisfaction. Based on the research results, it is suggested that metacognition and smartphone addiction need to be considered to improve learners' discussion flow and satisfaction.
