Considering that there is a big difference in performance compared to invested resource by store due to various variables such as location selection of mobile telecommunication retail stores and commercial districts, this study analyzed the relative efficiency of 195 stores in the metropolitan area using data envelopment analysis. Specifically, technical efficiency and scale efficiency have been measured using CCR and BCC models after selecting input and output variables by applying Tofallis' profiling technique and Wagner's backward approach. To summarize the results of this study, first, there were 69 efficient stores based on the CCR model, and 87 efficient stores based on the BCC model, 18 stores added to the 69 agencies. Second, 92 stores in the optimal scale state (Σλ=1) and in the decreasing return to scale state (Σλ>1), respectively, and 11 stores in the increasing return to scale state (Σλ<1). In the case of stores that have been found to be in a state of decreasing return to scale, strategies such as retraining sales staff, reducing and improving input variables to the operating system such as core competencies and store size are needed to transition to the optimal state. In addition, in the case of stores that have been found to be in a state of increasing return to scale, it is necessary to increase the number of new variables, ARPU, and Value Delivery values, which are the input variables, by expanding the sales staff and store size. |
