Design and management of specialized curriculum in engineering education is important task for training society-demanded human resources. Engineering education accreditation and specialized engineering curriculum are necessary in engineering education. For cultivating the practical and job-oriented human resources, we design a curriculum for smart IT by using National Competency Standards(NCS) standardized by Korean government. Smart IT is an IT technology that everyone uses the smart devices by adding the convenience of mobility and IT anywhere, anytime, anyone. Smart IT is composed of smart devices such as smart phones, smart TV, smart pad, platforms like android and iOS, mobile communications by LTE, and a number of apps to operate on them. In addition, the convergence industry based on smart IT has evolved into smart healthcare, smart cars, smart home, smart grid, and smart farms. We selected smart culture app contents production subdivision and application software engineering subdivision, related to smart IT, and then chose competency units which will be included the courses. Depending on the competency units, we draw subjects and curriculum which are suitable for higher education. For the various engineering education, we design the curriculum based on NCS along with engineering education standing on the basis of accreditation, and we hope this study to contribute cultivating the various society-demanded smart IT human resources. |
