논문내용 The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the interaction between the teacher and children who read picture books on children's reading interest and social-emotional development. The results of this study are as follows. First, infants and toddlers in the experimental group who experienced active interaction between the teacher and infants in picture book reading showed much higher interest in reading than those in the comparison group. In particular, the number of children who did not like reading or were not interested in reading decreased significantly, and they were observed playing with picture books on their own. Second, infants and toddlers in the experimental group who experienced active interaction between the teacher and infants when reading picture books significantly increased their socio-emotional development than those in the comparison group. The results of this study show that the active interaction of teachers and infants when reading picture books has a positive effect on children's reading interest and social-emotional development. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the importance of the educational value of the interaction between the teacher and the child in the school field, and to make an effort for the child's reading interest and social-emotional development through active interaction with the individual.
