논문내용 Globally environmental concerns are accelerating the transition to clean energy. In South Korea, ‘Implementation plans for renewable 20 by 2030’ was announced. The plan is to replace 20% of the power mix with renewable energy by 2030. As a result, the renewable energy source is expected to expand. Renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic power generation are connected to the grid through inverters, so they have different characteristics from existing power generators. This characteristic of the renewable energy source causes the inertia of the system to become small, thereby deteriorating the frequency response at the time of sudden change of the load. In the existing power system, the frequency stability problem was responded to by using the internal control of the generator and PSS (Power System Stabilizer). However, in the future power system with increased renewable energy generation sources, there is a limit to control using only the generator and PSS. A virtual inertia based on BESS(Battery Energy Storgae System) have been proposed as an alternative to this phenomenon. The virtual inertial system is a system that controls the active power output of the BESS using a control model that mimics the control of a synchronous generator. When operating such a system, it is important to properly tune the values of various parameters constituting the control model. However, parameter tuning is very difficult in the power system that changes every moment. This paper proposed a virtual inertia system based on artificial intelligence to immediately respond to the state of the power system that changes every moment.
