In S. Korea, due to the rapid decline in the fertility rate and the steep rise in the aging of the population, there are many policy issues that need to be resolved in the future as well as in the present. There is a general relationship that a decrease in the fertility rate leads to a manpower reduction in the workforce in the near future and an increase in the economic burden of the workforce in the aging population. The purpose of this study is to analyze quantitatively relationship between extension of retirement age and youth employment & workplace Management with focusing on citizen's perception in terms of social epistemology. Structural Equation Model(SEM) is used for research, and latent variables include effects of retirement age extension(A), side-effects in youth employment(B) and difficulty in workplace management(C). In the analysis result A has a negative correlation with both B and C, and B does a positive correlation with C. At the time when the retirement age extension has been enacted, policy measures such as division of duties that the elderly and young people should perform in the workplace and in-house training programs to increase the productivity of the elderly are presented in order to increase youth employment and ensure smooth operation of workplaces. |
