This study aims to analyze the impact of digital support on digital skill, online service use, and the digital use performance of North Korean defectors to present theoretical and policy implications. By reviewing previous studies, the research model for the variable relationship is developed. For analysis, the raw data of North Korean defectors in ‘2020 The report on the digital divide’ by the National Information Society Agency were used. From total 700 people in the report, 671 samples of defectors, who own mobile device such as a smartphone and used internet within the last month, were selected. We apply the structural equation model to analyze the relationship among digital support, digital skill, online service, and the digital use performance for North Korean defectors. As a result of the structural equation model analysis, it is confirmed that digital support has a positive influence on digital skill, online service use, and the digital use performance for the North Korean defector. In addition, it is found that digital skill positively contributed to the online service and the online service increased the digital use performance for the North Korean defectors. The analysis holds significance in that it has presented digital support to increase digital skill, online service use, and the digital use performance. |
