In this study, the temperature rise and illuminance decrease of LED lighting fixtures, which are currently widely used in outdoor and indoor lighting of buildings and surrounding industries, were measured and compared at the same time when AC power was supplied and when DC power was supplied. Measurements were carried out in two steps. At first, as a result of simply comparing the temperature and illuminance for each 30-minute interval for 3 hours for measurement of a single LED lighting fixture, it was confirmed that the DC power supply omitting the converter has a small temperature rise and a small illuminance attenuation. Nine LED lighting fixtures were arranged in 3X3, and the temperature and illuminance were measured again for 8 hours for 30 minutes and then compared by power source. The results obtained from the measured comparative analysis show that, in the case of AC power supply, a converter (AC>DC_converter) that generates a lot of heat is placed inside, and the temperature rises in the LED chip placed in the LED lighting fixture, and the luminous flux and illuminance decrease. The phenomenon was confirmed. On the other hand, when direct current power is supplied without a converter (AC>DC_converter), the temperature rise is small, and the decrease in luminous flux and illuminance is very small compared to AC power supply using a converter (AC>DC_converter). decreased. Through this experiment, it was confirmed that not only the loss of the electric energy of the converter itself, which converts AC>DC, but also the heat generated by the converter converter has a considerable effect on the temperature rise on the LED chip or the load placed nearby. |
