논문투고자 Shin-Hwan Cho, Jae-Woong Kim
논문내용 The International Forum of Medical Device Regulators stipulates that medical devices used on patients must have history management. the U.S. FDA stipulates that UDI must be directly marked on the surface of reusable medical devices using QR or Data Matrix. As a result of analysis through interviews and workshops with numerous hospital workers, the biggest problems in implementing these regulations and recommendations are engraving on reusable tools, preventing the engraved parts from rusting, and ensuring that engraved medical devices are easily used for work and is recognized without any burden. The purpose of this study was to manage the history of reusable tools in medical institutions. The focus of the study is to derive a recognition rate of 99.99% using the area scan method among image scan methods for a number of reusable tools imprinted in the data matrix method. This problem was solved by implementing a system that easily recognizes multiple medical tools with unique values engraved on them using image processing technology. Through the first attempt and implementation of the image scanning method, medical institutions can use it to prevent infection accidents by tracking tool use history and determining whether to reuse it. In the event of an infection incident, it will be of great help in tracking the cause of infection and taking action. In addition, it is expected that individual management of reusable tools will contribute to the efficiency of asset management in medical institutions.
