논문내용 |
Starting a business is one of the attractive options for individuals seeking economic independence and creativity in modern society, but individuals considering starting a business naturally consider the possibility of failure along with questions about whether they can succeed economically. This fear of failure becomes a psychological factor that acts as a barrier to starting a business and hinders the intention to start a business. In this context, this study investigated the relationship between fear of failure and entrepreneurial intention, and tested the moderating effects of social support and self-determination to understand it more deeply. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 286 adults over the age of 20, and the collected data was collected using SPSS/WIN 27.0 and Macro 4.1 programs. The research results are as follows, First, when the intrinsic motivation of self-determination was high, even if the fear of failure increased, it had no significant effect on the will to start a business. In other words, it was found that intrinsic motivation had the effect of buffering the negative effect of fear on the will to start a business. Second, social support was found to have the effect of buffering the negative effect of fear of failure on the will to start a business. We hope that the research results will be helpful in understanding the behaviour and decision-making process of future entrepreneurs and improving the startup environment |
