This study aimed to review the current status and solutions of the mobile C2C platform that appeared as a combination of information and communication technology and smart devices. The study was conducted focusing on four types of platforms: business/education/accommodation/secondhand transaction. In the past C2C form, transactions were made between individuals using the Internet, such as E-BAY. In 2022, it is developed in the form of digital transformation using the Internet of Things and big data, enabling C2C transactions on mobile. The following three common problems appeared according to the platform regulations and the research results of the Korea Internet & Security Agency. First, there is a sharp increase in C2C damage due to rapid growth. This indicates that the number of applications for dispute mediation is insufficient due to the blind spot of C2C damage relief. Second, there is an information asymmetry problem in obtaining brief information about services/products online. In addition, due to the market monopoly structure of the platform, there are problems with payment fees and excessive advertising costs. The first solution is to use consumer protection laws. Amendments to the Consumer Protection Act have allowed platforms to provide victims with information about the other party. Second, it was proposed to improve the user interface to solve the information asymmetry problem by setting the essential items to be written down. In order to reduce fees, we proposed a blockchain algorithm payment method that eliminates transaction history storage and intermediate management. |
