논문내용 |
Since 2020, COVID-19 which has spread worldwide including S. Korea, has increased citizens' awareness of the importance of social safety nets. Accordingly, it is emerging as an important issue to increase the confidence of citizens in the solution subjects(organizations) that should prepare for and respond to national disasters including infectious diseases such as COVID-19.The purpose of this study is to quantitatively analyze the effect of the solution subjects in case of a national disaster such as COVID-19 on the social safety satisfaction perceived by the public. The research was conducted through multiple linear regression analysis using data of 1,000 people surveyed in 2021. As a result of the analysis, it was found that when the trust on both the government and citizen increased the social safety satisfaction, but the efforts of the politicians lowered the satisfaction. The correlation with the social safety satisfaction of civic groups, companies, media, and international organizations selected as other independent variables was not statistically significant. The results found through the cross sectional study require more longitudinal studies in the future. However, compared with the national disaster management principles, this study shows that both the government-centered actions and citizens' voluntary participation in government policies work as essential factors in order to overcome COVID-19 pandemic. |
