Natural products are attracting attention as new drugs because of their empirically proven safety and effectiveness. As a result, interest in the natural herb is also increasing. However, scientific proof of safety and effectiveness is needed. Due to the characteristics of Multi-compound-Multi target, it is difficult to verify its efficacy with existing pharmacological theory. Accordingly, recently, efficacy verification has been conducted through network pharmacology. Network pharmacology is to understand the mechanism of action of a drug on an interconnected biological network. Therefore, in this study, the efficacy about Cinnamomum cassia Presl was explored through network pharmacology. First, the components of Cinnamomum cassia Presl were obtained using TM-MC, and the components and target information of Cinnamomum cassia Presl were obtained using the STITCH database. Next, a component-target information network of Cinnamomum cassia Presl was established using Gephi 0.10. As a result of analyzing the network, 5 clusters were obtained by analyzing the network. Each cluster was largely characterized by anti-cancer, liver disease, neurological metabolism, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects, and it was determined that the components of Cinnamomum cassia Presl in each cluster were related to the characteristics of each cluster. Through this, the component efficacy of Cinnamomum cassia Presl was investigated based on data, and this can be used as data for the development of new drugs. |
