The purpose of this study is to find out the level of awareness of gender sensitivity of K University students. The subjects of the survey were students from 3 campuses, 7 colleges and headquarters of K University, and an average of 1,978 people (16.1%) participated in the survey from 2019 to 2022. As a result of the study, first, as a result of factor analysis of 22 questions of gender sensitivity, it was classified into three sub-factors: gender role stereotype, perception of sexual violence, and perception of gender discrimination. Second, from 2019 to 2022, the overall average of gender sensitivity of students enrolled at K University was 4.06 points, gender role stereotypes averaged 4.27 points, sexual violence awareness 4.36 points, and gender discrimination awareness 3.26 points. Third, as a result of F test the three sub-factors from the factor analysis by gender, grade, and college, gender was female, and the average score of College of Education and College of Nursing and Health was high, but the average score of College of Engineering and College of Industrial Science was low. The score was relatively low compared to other colleges. Based on the results of this study, for gender sensitivity education of students at K University, first, improvement of educational contents and methods tailored to each target, second, preparation of incentives for more than 70% of enrolled students to participate in gender sensitivity education, third, promotion of educational results to university members, fourth, it is necessary to accumulate basic data and refine survey tools through regular surveys. |
