Various ICT technologies are being integrated into the medical field to tackle the rapid increase of social cost of chronic diseases. In this study, we established a platform for Person-Generated Health Data (PGHD) and an electronic chart linkage service system for effectively managing chronic diseases. We recruited 180 patients with one of six diseases from 30 Korean medicine clinics, and conducted a four-week usability test followed by evaluation. The Patients recorded their daily life once a day through the service after a Korean medicine doctor's treatment. The patient's lifestyle report generated by the system was later utilized for prescription and life guidance. Usability was evaluated based on ease of learning, memory, functional validity, daily usefulness, and user satisfaction. A subjective questionnaire was used to analyze the system's advantages, disadvantages, and areas for improvement. The results of this study can be applied to prognosis management services for the effective management of chronic diseases in the future. They can also be used for continuous patient management by doctors, encouraging active participation by patients and managing daily habits. |
