This study performed an analysis of time series trends on the chromatographic articles of medicinal materials in TM-MC, which provides information on the chemical compounds of medicinal materials. To achieve this purpose, the top 10 medicinal materials in the number of chromatography articles were selected in TM-MC, and 1,457 chromatography articles on these medicinal materials were analyzed the change in the number of articles by year. The number of chromatography articles continued to increase over time, and it increased rapidly from 2007, followed by the highest number of articles published in 2012, and after that, it showed a decreasing trend. In addition, trends were analyzed by separating only articles containing marker compounds of medicinal materials, which showed a pattern similar to the overall trend. In order to check whether this trend is shown due to the small number of studies on medicinal materials, PubMed searched for medicinal materials by their scientific names, but the number of publications of articles continued to increase without decreasing. This confirmed the trend of decrease in chromatographic articles of medicinal materials after 2012. In the future, when searching PubMed for TM-MC update, we plan to consider other methods from the existing search and filtering methods by referring to our results. |
